Murphey's Motel is located on Highway 395 in Lee Vining, California. Less than a mile south of Lee Vining, Highway 395 connects with Hwy. 120 to Tioga Pass and Yosemite Valley.
To the north, Highway 395 connects with Highway 50 to Lake Tahoe, and farther north with I-80 in Reno, Nevada. To the south, Highway 395 reaches all the way to Los Angeles and San Diego.
